Expansion joints are devices with at least one bellow, or airtight chamber, that absorb movement, stress, noise and vibration to protect pipe or duct fittings. They allow for rigid mounting of pipes in constricted areas and eliminate more complicated means of protecting piping from changes.

The HTDRF Series Souble Sphere Flanged Rubber Expansion Joint is constructed of nylon fabric-reinforced neoprene body with hardened spring steel wire reinforcement and forged carbon steel flanges. They are available in a sizes ranging from 1-1/4” to 12” in diameter and 7”, 9" and 13” in length. These flanges have a maximum temperature operation of 150^o F, and a vacuum rating of 16 HG In.

The carbon steel flanges easily rotate on the bellows which make it easier to line up the bolt holes during installation when mating flanges are out of line. The double arch design allows for greater movement four different ways and provides a non-turbulent flow.
