Expansion joints are devices with at least one bellow, or airtight chamber, that absorb movement, stress, noise and vibration to protect pipe or duct fittings. They allow for rigid mounting of pipes in constricted areas and eliminate more complicated means of protecting piping from changes.
The HTDRU Series is constructed of nylon fabric-reinforced neoprene body with cast ductile iron ground pipe unions.
They are available in a sizes ranging from 3/4” to 2” in diameter and 8” in length. These flanges have a maximum temperature operation of 240o F, and a vacuum rating of 16 HG In.
Features:
-
Superb vibration absorption
-
Effective for large eccentricity thermal and bending angles
-
Low-cost installation and operation
-
Excellent for use with moderate chemicals and acids, most oils, fats and grease and many solvents.
Not for use with oxidizing acids, esters and ketones.
