Improved Noise and Temperature Control
Seal & Design Inc. offers a variety of FST rated sponges and foams which can be used for sound deadening in high-temperature environments. They are listed for volume resistivity per ASTM D257.
We also offer a solid silicone rubber that is engineered specifically to block the transmission of sound. It exhibits superior performance in low frequency noise reduction.
For ambient temperature conditions, we offer the lower cost Armaflex AP, AP/SA insulation and SC-41 neoprene, both closed-cell sponges. These low cost alternatives are not tested for their acoustical features like the silicones, but meet all FST requirements.
These are not extruded materials, but we can custom die cut or slit them into predetermined roll widths, and we can also apply adhesive backing upon request.
Bisco® HT-800 Series
A highly versatile, silicone sponge that offers the lightness of a foam with the enhanced sealing capabilities of a traditional sponge rubber.
Armaflex® AP & AP/SA
A flexible elastomeric thermal insulation, black in color, with an expanded closed-cell structure for efficient insulation.
SCE 41 Neoprene Closed Cell Sponge
A soft-density, closed cell sponge that is supplied in precision die-cut parts, slit goods, or bulk materials with or without adhesives.
