TPA3000 Split Tailpipe Adapter is manufactured from specially formulated rubber compound that has been designed to withstand up to 600
o
F tailpipe exhaust temperatures, while maintaining maximum flexibility and durability. This innovative compounding has kept pace with the emergence of high heat-producing catalytic converters and emission control devices.
Crushproof adapters are designed to fit almost any vehicle on the road today. Keep in mind that about a quarter of all vehicles have dual exhaust or a twin exhaust system.
A hook and chain assembly is attached to each adapter to allow it to be fixed to the frame of the vehicle. This ensures that the fitting stays in place.
Each adapter will attach to the hose in one of three ways:
A. Screw over the outside of the hose.
B. Screw into the threads of the hose.
C. The included sleeve screws into/onto the hose, then the adapter fits over/inside of the sleeve.
