As you may or may not be aware, Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. supplies the Smoke, Flame & Toxicity tested rubber materials that is used on the interior of passenger railcars in the United States. These materials are used for vibration control and insulation in the walls, ceilings and floors. You can also see Chamberlin Rubber materials on the window seals and door seals.
What’s so fun about that? Well, maybe nothing but it definitely makes you safer while riding a train. Here is the fun part, a little clip of The Blue Man Group and their experience with the New York City subway.

But you are really interested in finding out what the Chamberlin GlobalSpec Product of the Week is right? Well, this week I have selected our ChamFlex hoses as the product of the week. It just happens to coincide with a new postcard (see below).

Even better than that we provide custom sizes to meet your applications. Call Scott for more information at (585) 758-1018 - and tell him you found his number here on the blog would you?

Hello Friends,
Yesterday I went on a big adventure with Bill to the MedTech Golf Tournament at Turning Stone Casino in Syracuse NY. We arrived at Turning Stone early and headed directly for the driving range. Our shots were straight and long and beautiful! After lunch we had the pleasure of tackling the Shenendoah course with our two new friends, Vic Cardona and Brett Hutton, from Heslin, Rothenberg, Farley & Mesiti.
I have awarded myself the title of “she who lost the most balls” as it seems like I donated a ball to every hazard that would accept one. Even my favorite smiley-ball was lost to the woods. My only hope is that it will be adopted by a native living on the course. A gentleman at dinner told a story of a course he played where if you hit your ball in one specific spot a fox would run out, grab your ball and take it back to its den. That fox must quite a collection by now.
None the less, it was a fabulous day, we all had fun and we didn’t come in last place!
As always, here is a picture from our adventure. Don’t laugh at my hair- it was quite humid out there.
Brett Hutton, Vic Cardona, Bill Lanigan & Andrea Truini
MedTech is a not-for-profit regional trade association comprised of Upstate New York technology manufacturers, research institutions, allied professional services and economic development organizations with shared interests in collaboratively developing technologies, products and services for the global medical products marketplace.
Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. is a new member of MedTech and it is our hope that through this organization we will be able to meet companies that are working on new and exciting products that we can help enhance with our ability to custom die cut FDA approved/skin safe materials. This is a new industry for Chamberlin so we are excited to have taken part in this event and the opportunity to meet such interesting people in this field.
Have a great weekend~

So, remember a couple of posts back I mentioned that we had invited some of our customers to visit us here at Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc, check out the Senior PGA tournament at Oak Hill Country Club and take in a little golf ourselves? Well that event happened and it was a great success!
Unfortunately Mother Nature’s invitation must have gotten lost in the mail because she gave us cold & rainy weather both days but we rallied and enjoyed ourselves anyways. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment…
Sam Pennacchio & Kevin Marple.
(Kevin took this action shot for me.)
Autograph anyone?
HEY! That is Kevin!!
Sam Pennacchio, Andrea Truini & Bill Lanigan (yup, thats me the silly looking one in the middle)
You may notice that there aren’t pictures of everyone who attended our event - I was disappointed about this too but unfortunately our groups got separated and I was only able to get pictures of Kevin! I guess we’ll have to wait for next year to get more pictures.
Enjoy the week, hopefully the warm sunny weather will be upon us soon.

Welcome to June everyone! My favorite month of the year because I get to celebrate my birthday- but not until next week so for now I will just celebrate the GlobalSpec product of the week!
This week I selected HT-800 closed cell silicone sponge. This material is one of our Smoke, Flame & Toxicity tested materials, a favorite for our customers who build passenger railcars. Next time you are on the train take a minute and think about how much rubber material is surrounding you between the outside of the car and the shiny inside that you can see. Can you image how loud your commute would be without that vibration control? Me neither!
For more information about HT-800 click right HERE.

Word on the street is that people have been missing my blog-postings! I am sorry that I have disappointed you but I promise to try and do better. This week I have selected Viton Closed-Cell Sponge as the GlobalSpec product of the week. These non-absorbent sheets are highly compressible, resilient, lightweight and provide good thermal insulation. For more information

In other news, this week we have invited some of our customers to visit Chamberlin, tour our facility and take in a little golf. More information to follow…
Until then,
Andrea
