I guess a little late is better than never to share with you our GlobalSpec product of the week.  This week I chose to highlight Clearbraid K3150 tubing.

On Monday February 11, 2008 Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. had the pleasure of a training session with Joe Krause from Inertech.  Joe presented us with the wonders of Inertex^® expanded PTFE high performance gaskets and fluid sealing products. 

Inertex^® has the following attributes that set it apart from the rest:

- Good from -450^o to 600^o F

- Applicable in pressures from full vacuum to 3000 psi

- Chemically inert throughout the pH range of 0 to 14

- FDA suitable (FDA 21 CFR 177.1550)

In celebration of our hugely successful performance at the 2008 AHR Expo I have selected ChamFlex hose assemblies as this weeks GlobalSpec Product of the week.  As you know ChamFlex hoses arethe highest quality flexible hose available on the market today!  Designed for use in water source heat pump or fan coil applications ChamFlex hoses offer the following:

* Superior abraision resistant properties from the coated wire braid.

* Washer-less design on the swivel end provides you will ease of installation.

* Enhanced water flow capabilities due to excellent flexibility of the hose, which also minimizes the possibility of kinking.

* The permanentlly installed (crimped) end fittings eliminate the possibility of bands or clamps loosening and creating leaks.

* Plated steel fittings and adapters reduce the possibility of over-torquing, a common problem with brass and other soft metals.

* Assemblies are custom made at our manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY to meet customer specifications.  Minimum length for 1/2″ and 3/4″ hoses is 6″ with 1″ increments.  Minimum length for 1 1/4″ hose is 9″ with 1″ increments.

You want to hear more about the 2008 AHR Expo? 

Well this year the AHR Expo was held in New York City.  We had a great time meeting and talking with current and hopefully future customers.  Overall we were visited by more than 175 people - not bad for three days!  Half of the group headed back to Rochester on Thursday and before the other half arrived home we had already received calls from people who had learned about ChamFlex hoses at the booth. Needless to say it has been a very busy week and it is only Tuesday!

To start the year off I have selected White Nitrile as our first Product of the Week for 2008. 

White Nitrile is a FDA-approved sheet rubber that can be used for food industry, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications.  

Although specifically designed for general gasketing use, in sheet form White Nitrile is ideal for covering or skirting countertops.

For the week of December 10, 2007 we have selected 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP 190 Gray 1.7 FL OZ for our GlobalSpec product of the week.

In early November Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. launched a profile on GlobalSpec - a web resource for people shopping for industrial products.  Our profile went live on November 7, 2007 and I have been very excited with the results we have seen.  As of the end of November we had received 11,937 “impressions” or people checking out our information on the GlobalSpec site this number includes a lot of qualified leads we have been following up with.     

As a part of our program on GlobalSpec each week we are going to select a Product of the Week and I will let you know what that is right here in our ChamBlog!  This week we have selected Weatherstripping for our product of the week.  

  Speaking of weatherstripping - did you know that Chamberlin will slit weatherstripping for you in any width that you specify?  We can also add adhesives, die cut gaskets or shapes for you or we will sell it to you by the sheet if that is what you want!
