On September 6, 2007 a team of volunteers Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. went to the Flower City Habitat for Humanity worksite for the second year in a row. This year the house we worked on was sponsored by the Rochester Chapter of Vistage an organization of Small Business owners who come together to discuss ways to improve their companies. Chamblerin Rubber Company, Inc. is a member of Vistage and each of the other companies will also be sending a team to help with the build.
This year our project was framing. We had the pleasure as serving as “guinnea pigs” as our Habitat team leader, Joe Lorenzo, worked out the details of building walls off site in the Panel Shop - located at the Rochester Public Market. Over the course of the day we completed two walls and unloaded a truck of lumber. It may not sound like a lot but believe me we worked hard! The proof is in the pictures…check them out below.
Sales Manager - Andy Chase, President - Bill Lanigan, Outside Sales Rep. - Tom Bolger preparing to put the facing on the frame of the wall.
Inside Sales Rep - Scott Harding, Outside Sales Rep. - Jim helping to ease the wall down to the floor (with help from the crane!).
and me…Marketing Manager - Andrea Truini working on unloading the lumber truck.
All in all we had a good day, we worked hard and helped a great organization.
