One might think that this week’s product of the week should fall into March’s “funky-weather” catagory but techincally the GlobalSpec product of the week is actually determined on TUESDAY - and today is Tuesday, April 1, 2008 so it it is free to be what ever it wants - AND it has decided that it wants to be the
Siemens Three-Way Zone Valve.
A relatively new product for us here at Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. the Siemens Zone Valve is actually available in both as 2-way or 3-way zone valves. These rugged forged valve bodies deliver up to 44psi. With true CV ratings from 2.5 to 7.0 they provide the maximum flow rate and the hightest close-off in the industry.
We also have 2-position, 3-position or modulating model Zone Valve Acutators which supply 24 pounds of force to meet all of your zone control application needs.
Give Scott at call at (585) 758-1018 or click here to send us a email.
Have a great week - and beware the happy April Fool’s tricksters!

This week I am trying something new with our GlobalSpec product of the week. A few weeks ago our Operations Manager asked if we might be able to sell some corrugated rubber runners online - we tried ebay but were unsucessful which leads me to this weeks GlobalSpec Product of the Week….Corrugated Rubber Runners. Typically this mat is 36″ wide and sold by the linear yard however these runners are 15″ x 50′.
1/8″ thick, the runners are corrugated on top, and have a smooth-back finish. They are a general use, all-weather product that would be ideal in most any industrial applications, in offices or even at home (if you have 50′ in your home that needs to be covered with a runner!).
Benefits: Weather-resistant, won’t curl, shirk or separate. Cleans easily and quickly. Good abraision resistance and sound absorbing.

Give us a call (585) 758-1027 or email me atruini@crubber.com for more information.
Have a Great Week,
~Andrea

On Thursday, March 6, 2008 the house that Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. employees help build back in September was had its official dedication. By that I mean - it finally has its family.
This build of this house was sponsored by the local chapter of Vistage International, a group of small business owners of which our owner & president, Bill Lanigan, is an active member. We sent a crew to help in September 2007 and were given the task of framing. An adventure to say the least! It is great to know that the house has been completed and that the family that now lives there is enjoying it.
If you are interested in more information about the family you can check out the article that appeared in the Democrat & Chronicle on March 7, 2008 by clicking here.
Here at Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. we would like to send our very best wishes to our house’s family. I would also encourage any of you to participate in a Habitat for Humanity build.

(P.S. Happy “Pi-Day” 3.14!)

This weekend we here in Rochester, NY got hit with another big snowstorm. I guess it was Mother Nature’s way of reminding us that March likes to come in like a LION (how convenient Chamberlin is like a lion too) - with any luck it will go out like a lamb. Anyway you slice it the rainy season will be upon us soon so I thought it would be nice to highlight some SUCTION HOSE.
Flexadux® T-7 W is a medium weight thermoplastic rubber hose reinforced with a spring wire helix and external polypropylene wearstrip.
Flexadux® T-7 W is one of our most popular suction hoses for more information give our sales department a call at (585) 758-1027.
Until next time~

You may have noticed that I missed posting this weeks GlobalSpec product of the week. For this I deeply apologize. On the up side the reason that I didn’t get our product posted is that we went to visit our friend Tony Palmeire at Alstom in Hornell, NY.
Tony was kind enough to give us a tour of the shops where the railcars are assembled. We were able to see the new cars being built in addition to the area where cars are being refurbished. This was a truly remarkable experience. To see the work that goes into the construction of each car is truly a sight to behold. It was also great to see our railcar products in their intended applications. There were numerous window and door seals and we saw a number of products waiting to be installed into cars that have been encased with insulation provided by Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. and we even got to see one man applying squeak tape sold by - you guessed it - Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc.!
Another highlight of our visit was the safety gear that they had us wear - bright yellow “bump” hats and bright yellow toe-covers for Sam and I - Scott had protective shoes already so he missed out on the toe-covers. As always, I took a picture for your enjoyment.
I promise to post a Product of the Week next week.
HAPPY LEAP DAY!!
~Andrea
