FST Ducting and HVAC Seals

Better Control of Air Flow

FST ducting from Chamberlin can be used for air movement in HVAC systems as well as being used as a flexible conduit for wiring or tubing. The outside of the ducting is soft material that will not make noise when the rail car is moving, so there is no need to wrap our ducting.

Compare Chamberlin vs. Other Ducting Materials:

Traditional aluminum duct work or flexible aluminum tubing in HVAC systems need to be wrapped or covered with a noise dampening material to keep it from rattling when the car is moving. This is also true with traditional plastic or metal conduit because the hard materials rattle on any other metal parts that they contact when the rail car is moving. Save time and labor expense not having to wrap Bendway.

The Chamberlin Difference: To dampen the vibration noise, Chamberlin offers flame, smoke, and toxicity-rated material to wrap the ducting or conduit. We can offer this material in sheets, strips or tube insulation formed to fit over pipe.
